My First Disney Trip - My Rating

I have read the history of Mr. Walt Disney and find it interesting that he was moved to build a theme park of kids of all ages.  His life wasn't easy but he made it work.  Look how began at home in Illinois and moved to California to draw a mouse afterwards creating billions, don't forego the million dollar ideas.  The scriptures tell us to not despise the day of small beginnings!  So my rating is its over-rated but it's really worth one try!  This one man made history for ALL PEOPLE, with a mouse!

Laugh Now or Later

You know as I sit and ponder of all the stupid stuff we did as children, teenagers and even young adults.  Why is it so engrained in us to think what we did was the DEAL!  Only to find out, we were really jacked up!  I will say things, the things we are posting on Facebook is a fading fad, either you laugh now or look back 5 yrs and realize that just maybe you should not had said it.  And no you cannot justify yourself and say that's how I felt then, why? Because you do not feel that why now! So, becareful of impulse posting!  Don't follow the crowd!!

Things I Learned as A Minister...3 of 10

A Balanced Minister (Person)

Balanced Defined: keep or put (something) in a steady position so that it does not fall.

These posts are ever changing and should be used to grow in the grace of God.   Being balanced minister has been rough; I can settle the scale some days by not moving to the left or the right as scripture says Proverbs 4:27.  There were moments I have been too religious (not spiritual) or too carnal to the point falling short of his glory (Romans 3:23).   Life gets rough and yes, seasons of resting in the Lord is appropriate but times come when all is well but we need to fast and pray in preparation for the next wave in life.

I recall to your remembrance the story of Martha and Mary (Luke 10:38-42), before their brother Lazarus dies one (Mary) sits at the feet of Jesus, because it was needed. But Martha (Male or Female) is distracted with much serving; you being busy is great but when with much serving (busy work) it can lead to frustration and stress.

I mentor very few folks and I tell them either Married or Unmarried; you know YOU and your temptation even when it calls out to you.  I recommend staying clear, running or doing something different but not the same routine.  Here is something practical, connect with saints and friends, go to the movies, laugh, have a great dinner or even see a play!  The same route for many US Government members cost them their lives; and the same goes for the sons of God.  We are ‘soft targets’ if we stay on same path that leads to evil works.  So what causes an unbalanced life; job, children, spouses, sport seasons, speaking engagements and many of others functions in life?  Are these distractions wrong, God forbid but it should never be above the thing that is needed!

Let me close my saying this, I learned how to balance my life by seeking Gods wisdom when I started my day.  When I began to do so, I saw my days and nights flow in such a Godly stream.   Here is a revelation; I prayed the NIGHT before; Praying in the morning is not at 6am or even 5am; actually you are late but the day starts at 12:01am.   As leaders, you need a break and you need to work, but when you are not balanced, it will show in more ways than one.

Luke 2:52 - And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

Proverbs 4:27 - Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

Romans 3:23 - For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard.

Things I learned as a Minister 2 of 10

Hello Again Family and Friends,

When we first got saved we had the zeal or a passion no one can put out.  The fire of God burned in our hearts to give God our all.  But I learned first hand how that passion can lead to self-righteous actions as you are escalted in the Kingdom.  The bible acknowledges that Pride comes before the fall and many times our claim is we NEVER see the edge of the cleft.  Well not before it is too late!

Proverbs 16:18 - Pride [goeth] before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

There are two testimonies I would like to share, the pride in me was shaped due to rejection from people in my earlier years.  Yes thats right people rejected me as a child and even in my adult life.  It wasnt until I found my passion in God to sing, preach and pray; man you could not have told me anything.  A very long story short, I was soo prideful that my peers in church began to dislike my approach in Worship and even in the office.  Well one night I had a dream, that i was in my old neighborhood, and as people came to me I began to cut everyone in sight.  I was your first Kill Bill in the Spirit.  Well not seeing the emphasis was on me, I woke up saying "Man, someone is going to die, I need to be praying" ROTFL, yeah I laughed later as well.  I talked to my Pastor who is now my spiritual father, and he gave a blank stare and said "Pray about it and tell me what the Lord says."  I was soo blind to that fact that my pride was killing others.  Perhaps you do not see what is affecting others, but I assure you it is.   Well some brave saints confronted me and told me of my actions and immediately I realized the dream was about me.

Testimony #2, describes a time when I was asked to minister at an 8am service, and I began to THINK I was someone or something I was not.  The day was perfect but my spirit was not, I got to minister and said some of the most God-aweful things like "watch this revelation" "Im telling you God is speaking right now" and maybe some more other jacked up statements.   When I thought that what I said would move the crowd, it was pure silence and my body was sweating with humility.   Brothers and sisters, you study but God gives the answer to the prepared and humble servant.

Proverbs 16:1 - The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, [is] from the LORD.

If the spirit of pride is not broken over our lives, we could be killing people and not even knowing.  Fight to live submitted under God and those that have rule over you, you will be honored if you abase yourself.  If you are not taking the time to fast, pray and walk in the Word you could find yourself embarrassed in front of the multitude.

Things I Have Learned As A Minister 1 of 10

For many ministers it was quite difficulty for us to be transparent and relative leaders.  That is because we are not used to being the REAL US that God has designed.

Have you ever heard the phrase "Im just being me" well have you ever thought that maybe the ME you are trying to be is not the REAL You.  I have used this phrase several times as a line of defense verses a declaration of who God says I am.  The first thing a young or new minister should get to know is him or herself.  By not knowing who you are, you are faced with being like others; preaching, singing and even leading/managing like others and the real you has NOT emerged.   Now do not get me wrong, walk in Psalms 37:37, to mark the perfect man.  But ask the Lord who he has called you and made you to be.  Your true identity, I assure you will not be like the rest and if you are reading this then you realize exactly what I am talking about.

Psalms 37:37 - Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

For many years, I lived off one main scriptures and Romans 8:1; I realized who I was and it was not defined by the sin that trapped me and neither are you!  The sin you are linked to wants to describe you and place a label on your life and ministry.  I encourage you, do not let sin describe you!   Be the YOU God has designed for you to be and take time with God and the Communion of the Spirit.

Romans 8:1 - There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Here is a photo of me from Germany when I started ministering: more to follow.

DeJaVu or Spiritual FootPrints

I will try my best to explain this post;

I had a dream or vision a couple of years ago that I was about to open a cabinet and the spirit spoke to me in tongues.  I was baffled because I did not know what it was saying or why it came to me in such a spiritual way.  Well, as the spirit would have it, I was allowed to live out that Vision (3 Jan 15) when I opened the cabinet in my kitchen.  It was then I realized that JUST MAYBE God allowed me to see the vision come to pass because it was his way of Saying 'You are in the right place at the Right Time, maybe even the right Mind-Set'

You may not remember every dream and vision, some will meet you on the road to where you should be going.  Declare to yourself today; My STEPS have been Ordered!

Friends Be Blessed!
